Brunello Harvest 2013 Has Begun

The climate of the last weeks has been excellent.

Fair weather with temperature variation of 15° C. minimums and 28-30° C. maximums.

The grapes have made a notable change and the analysis tell us that a part of the vineyard is ready to be picked.

Red stems
During the controls that we do every day by tasting the grapes, we see the pedicel (stem) red and the seeds are brown. It is understood, without the analysis, that the grapes are ready to be picked.

Today we have begun to pick the Sangiovese with which we will produced the Brunello di Montalcino 2013.

We are in the Pianelli vineyard, the central zone immediately below the cellar.
