Minister Zaia's accord with the U.S. government to resolve Brunello import block

At the press conference this morning in Montalcino, the Minister of Agricutlure Luca Zaia announced that the Ministry's Ispettorato centrale per il controllo della qualità dei prodotti agroalimentari (Central Inspectorate for the Control of Quality of Food Products) will provide certification for Brunello producers that their wines are made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. U.S. Ambassador Ronald Spogli also attended the conference where the Minister revealed the decree authorizing the Ispettorato to certify the wine.
